EXAMINATION WORKSHOPS

As a Royal Irish Academy of Music Examiner I travel throughout Ireland listening to students sitting grade examinations in a large range of genre, including instrumental and vocal.

Having noticed students regularly suffering with nerves and their performances suffering, I decided to design a workshop based around the examination format to help guide and prepare students for what to expect on the day and how to best prepare for it.  Students will in return feel more confident in their abilities and give a more assured account of themselves on their big day.

Workshops are available for individual students and can be tailored for teachers/schools with larger groups of students.

Workshop areas:

 

• Full mock examination inc. written report and estimation of marking.

• Detailed discussion on each part of exam

• Guidance on how to improve overall performance

• Nerves and techniques of control

• Motivation and Inspiration

• Sight-reading exercises

• Scales/Arpeggios and practice technique
